About life force energy
Here is useful information about life force energy.
Many books and websites about kundalini focus first and foremost on the physical symptoms of the kundalini. They tend to treat kundalini like outside energy that has somehow entered a person’s body and wreaks havoc. But that is a superficial way of looking at this complex event.
Kundalini arises from our own divine essence and is therefore foremost an event of the mind. This strong energy merely highlights and makes evident our psychological problems and spiritual misconceptions rather than causing them. These problems were there before our kundalini awakening but were largely unconscious. Once kundalini is
present, however, the barrier between our conscious and unconscious mind weakens and allows previously unconscious thoughts, motivations and feelings to come to the surface.
If this material is not dealt with properly, people often develop physiological symptoms, very similar to the phenomenon of psychosomatic symptoms.
These are the most common and obvious kundalini symptoms:
– Experiences of energy churning in one’s abdomen or other body parts
– Experiences of energy rising up in one’s body
– Experiences of tingling, jerking, shaking and swaying
– Amplified negative emotions alternating with states of great bliss
– Increased sensitivity
– Experience of one’s life being in turmoil
– Motivation to improve one’s life.
Generally speaking, everything is amplified when kundalini rushes through our system.
All our unresolved issues are magnified and all our more enlightened aspects are amplified as well – leading to a rollercoaster ride of increased suffering and heightened spirituality and often to feelings of bliss.
Therefore, uncomfortable kundalini symptoms are not bad. On the contrary, they ‘urge’ us to resolve our issues and become healthier, more loving and more confident in every way. Even though this process can be difficult and may take a considerable amount of time it serves our deepest purpose, which is to reach our highest potential.
You cannot stay the same on your spiritual path and ‘simply use’ the kundalini bliss to make your existing life more enjoyable. Your self-concept, beliefs, activities and relationships have to become more spiritual in order ‘to fit’ the bliss of kundalini and if you simply continue in the way you have always done, you will suffer badly. In that way, bliss makes demands on you.
Kundalini brings more awareness. But the ego can’t cope with more awareness and with too much change. Instead, it arrogantly believes that it is already a ‘finished product’ and that it can do things alone like an angry toddler. Yet it is this arrogance that brings on most of the negative symptoms of the kundalini awakening.
Through your spiritual practice, you will sometimes experience many unsettling changes in your personality that ‘force’ you to change every aspect of your life over and over again. This may bring many losses of old friends, preoccupations and jobs.
What’s more, with every increase of kundalini your ego defenses are whittled down and new, often-painful aspects of yourself are unleashed from your unconscious mind and must be dealt with.
The more you resist these changes the more physical, emotional and spiritual problems you will have on top of the problems that the kundalini has unleashed.
Amplified emotions may be uncomfortable but they are not dangerous.
What can cause real problems is our inability to accept our new and more emotional selves. This is particularly true for men who believe that “real men” do not feel fear or cry.
These misperceptions will come down with a crash once kundalini is active and it is important to accept and accommodate our new and more emotional sense of self. It can be deeply humbling to feel more vulnerable and anxious. The more we resist our new emotional self, the more it will hurt.
This phase of vulnerability is quite normal and can’t be avoided, particularly once you work with kundalini. In fact, this phase is very beneficial because it shows you clearly where you still have work to do.
With time, your ability to function without your ego defenses increases as well and you will get less and less stuck in negative emotions.
With fewer ego defenses you become like water that can be penetrated by everything,
instead of being like a numb ice cube. All that may hurt a lot and needs time to integrate and subside.
Your ego defenses are like a set of tensions. Without your ego defenses, you become softer and more vulnerable and can be touched and penetrated by everything. If you are not yet stable in your practice, you will often overreact to the smallest things. This can hurt a lot and intense pain and intense bliss will alternate.
If you can experience strong bliss, you will experience small disturbances as major issues, including noise, ugliness and the suffering of others. This is much like the way a black spot appears even blacker on a white screen than on a dark grey screen. This can greatly upset you.
You may be able to see many negative things in yourself and others that you didn’t see before. This is because more life force means more awareness. For example, you may start to see the many forms of selfishness, stupidity and envy in yourself and others.
This can be quite shocking and saddening.
The key here is to love and accept ourselves with all our weaknesses and negative impulses and yet never to act them out. This attitude will make us more humble, less judgmental and much more compassionate towards the shortcomings of others, too. It is the hallmark of a truly evolved person that they know they are capable of every
atrocity, yet have perfect self-control.
When kundalini is flowing you may lose interest in people and activities that you have enjoyed before and find little things very disturbing. This can be very upsetting because you do not yet have the positive relationships that match your new state of mind.
When you have lots of kundalinis you have a lot more to give but not always the karmic connections to do so. This can lead to much frustration. You can be reassured that your inability to enjoy the outside world is only temporary
and that once you have developed enough kundalini, it will only be a matter of time before your divine mandala manifests.
The great energy of the kundalini is not always easy to bear. It can be tiring to the body – just like physical exercise. You have to train yourself to tolerate it more and more. If you have too much energy, you may want to jump up and down to get rid of this over- excitement but the point is to learn to let it build up increasingly in your body, while
staying outwardly serene.
During a kundalini awakening, the unusual is normal. Kundalini phenomena may be weird, they may be frightening and uncomfortable but they are not dangerous. No one has been harmed physically or psychologically by the kundalini. The kundalini in itself is never the problem – it simply presents us with a magnified version of ourselves. The real problem comes from our fear and our resistance to this phenomenon.
It is easy to understand how attachment to kundalini bliss develops. Once the bliss is flowing, it seems like a whole new and wonderful world has opened up. It is natural to become rather attached to this newfound bliss, but the main danger of attachment to bliss is ego-inflation and rebound anger and depression.
The people who are most at risk of developing an attachment to bliss are meditation students who have been successful in awakening the kundalini.
They then embark on some sort of honeymoon with their newfound ecstasy and the more they believe that their bliss will last forever, the bigger the crash will be once their unconscious mind opens up and releases difficult unconscious material. If they then attempt to repress this material, it can develop into an even bigger crisis.
If you repress the material that has been unleashed from your unconscious mind through the kundalini process, it can lead to psychosomatic symptoms. You should be very careful about this point.
What distinguishes attachment to bliss from simply enjoying this experience?
Attachment is characterized by a certain rigidity, by holding on to this experience and by being inflexible. By contrast, a healthy relationship with bliss is characterized by enjoying it while it lasts yet being willing to give it up in order to attend to the needs of others.
Non-attachment to bliss means realizing that the core of all spiritual development is love and not bliss.

Having all this information, please bear this in mind:
– You Are beyond all body-mind experiences, yet you are Here to experience all life
manifestations
– You have always been safe and that is forever
– you are not here to heal the body, although that might be needed sometimes
– You Are Here to open up to the real you, pure Divinity, you clearly made a choice
about that.
